Garcia-Puche Grant

Garcia-Puche Grant

The Garcia-Puche Grant for Innovation in Liquid Biopsy aims to recognize and support the most outstanding ideas and projects that revolutionize the detection and analysis of diseases through non-invasive biopsies. Geared towards researchers, entrepreneurs, and scientific teams, this grant encourages the development of technologies that enable faster, more accurate, and less intrusive diagnostics.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their proposals to the International Society for Liquid Biopsy (ISLB) through the committee in a public and competitive contest composed of International Experts in LB.

The grant carries a prize of 25,000 USD to support the recipient’s ongoing research endeavors.

Specific Objectives

    Promote Innovation in Analysis

Encourage the creation and application of advanced methodologies in liquid biopsy, covering all its aspects from sample collection to the analysis of analytes. We seek projects that bring new perspectives and deepen our understanding of biomarkers in bodily fluids and their relation to various diseases.ground, objectives, and future plan. References should be attached separately.

    Promote Multidisciplinary Research

Incentivize projects that integrate basic and clinical research to develop more effective diagnostic and therapeutic tools. This collaborative approach should aim to translate scientific findings into practical applications that improve disease management and prognosis.

Expand Knowledge of Analytes in Liquid Biopsy

Support studies that investigate how various analytes detected in liquid biopsies (such as circulating tumor cells, DNA, RNA, exosomes, and other biomarkers) contribute to the development and progression of diseases. This objective aims to foster a deeper understanding of the disease-biomarker dynamics and its impact on improving diagnostic and treatment protocols.

Increase Clinical Applicability of Liquid Biopsy

Motivate research oriented towards the direct clinical application of the results, so that advances in liquid biopsy can be quickly implemented in medical settings, thus improving early detection and monitoring of diseases through minimally invasive procedures.

These specific objectives are designed to attract proposals that not only advance the science behind liquid biopsy but also bring these advancements to clinical practice, thereby benefiting patients worldwide.
